Tranquil is a series of paintings that captures the suspended moment of being underwater and looking up toward the surface. Sunlight filters through the moving water, sending soft rays downward that create shifting patterns of light and shadow across the sand below. The surface becomes both a boundary and a window, constantly changing as it refracts the world above.

Beneath the water, sound softens into the quiet rhythm of bubbles and
distant waves.

Conversation disappears, and time seems to slow. In this space, the outside world fades and the body becomes deeply aware of the present moment.

Many of us have experienced a version of this feeling—whether as children looking up through bathwater or floating beneath the ocean’s surface. Tranquil seeks to capture that fleeting state of stillness, inviting viewers to remember the calm and clarity that can exist just beneath the surface.
